The Walter Camp All-America team is the nation’s oldest All-America team. In 2019, The Foundation honored its 130th All-America team, continuing the great tradition began by the “Father of American football,” Walter Camp. The Foundation is proud to be part of the College Football 150 celebration. Over an eight-day span in early January, the Foundation recognized its All-Time All-Americans by position.

All-Time Team Facts

• Walter Camp first selected an All-America team in 1888. The 2019 All-America team is the 130th edition – easily the nation’s oldest.
• Starting in 1998, the Foundation also recognized a Second Team All-America team.
• 130 players from 53 different schools are represented on the All-Time list which were selected by Foundation membership and college football experts.
• Ohio State has the most honorees (11), followed by Notre Dame (8). USC, Michigan, Florida State and Alabama have seven players each on the All-Time team, while Nebraska has six. Pittsburgh has five players.
