College Football Legend Lee Corso Named 2017 Walter Camp “Distinguished American”

Former head coach and current college football analyst Lee Corso (Florida State University) is the 2017 recipient of the Walter Camp Football Foundation Distinguished American award.  Corso will be recognized at the Foundation’s 51st annual National Awards Dinner on Saturday, January 13, 2018 in New Haven, CT.

Louisville QB Lamar Jackson Headlines 2017 Walter Camp Player of the Year Preseason Watch List

The Walter Camp Football Foundation has announced the names of forty “players to watch” for its 2017 Player of the Year award, the nation’s fourth-oldest individual college football accolade. 2016 Walter Camp Player of the Year, Louisville junior quarterback Lamar Jackson headlines the 2017 Watch List. Jackson accounted for more than 5,000 yards and 50 touchdowns in 2016 for the Cardinals.

Chris serves as a Board of Governor and has been chair of the Memorabilia Committee and Co-Chair of the Thursday Night Dinner since joining the Foundation in 2010.

Chris lives in North Haven.

Proudest Foundation Moment: “Leading the already-successful Fan Fest and molding it into the Walter Camp All-American Youth Clinic has been my favorite experience with this organization so far, and I’m excited to watch it continue to evolve. As someone who was born and raised in New Haven, it’s a joy for me to see youths from our community learn valuable lessons – about football and about life – from Walter Camp All-Americans, alumnae, and elite high school coaches. What’s equally as rewarding: the players and other adults who take part in the clinic say they get as much out of it as the youths do.
