50th Walter Camp Weekend – THANKS!
Thank you for another great Walter Camp Weekend – the 50th held by the Foundation.
Congratulations to the Walter Camp First and Second Team All-Americans – the 127th All-American team selected -the oldest in the nation.
Congratulations to award winners Mike Ditka (Distinguished American), Orlando Pace (Alumni Award), Warrick Dunn (Man of the Year), Saundra Adams (American Hero), Lamar Jackson (Player of the Year) and Mike MacIntrye (Coach of the Year), who were feted during the Weekend.
Please note: Noel Thomas, who was selected as the Connecticut Player of the Year, chose not to attend the weekend.
Also, congratulations to Darien High School (Kelly Award – top high school team in Connecticut), Ben Mason (Newtown HS, CT HS Player of the Year) and Reggie Lytle (Hillhouse HS, Coach of the Year). Also recognized was Danny Dietz (Simsbury, GenUCan Award) and Bill McKee and Frank Robinson II as Lifetime Achievement awards.
Congratulations to Mark Warren, who was the Walter Camp/New Haven Register Essay Contest winner.
