Louisville Quarterback Lamar Jackson is the 2016 Walter Camp Player of the Year

University of Louisville sophomore quarterback Lamar Jackson (Pompano Beach, Fla.) has been selected as the 2016 Walter Camp Player of the Year.   The Walter Camp Player of the Year is voted on by the nation’s 129 Football Bowl Subdivision head coaches and sports information directors.

Colorado’s Mike MacIntyre Named 2016 Walter Camp Coach of the Year

Mike MacIntyre, head coach of the University of Colorado Buffaloes, has been named the Walter Camp 2016 Coach of the Year.  The Walter Camp Coach of the Year is selected by the nation’s 129 Football Bowl Subdivision head coaches and sports information directors.

Walter Camp Football Foundation Announces Five Finalists for 2016 Player of the Year Award

Three quarterbacks and two defensive players comprise the list of five finalists for the Walter Camp Football Foundation 2016 Player of the Year award.  Quarterbacks Jake Browning (Washington), Lamar Jackson (Louisville), Deshaun Watson (Clemson) are on the list along with defensive lineman Jonathan Allen (Alabama) and linebacker/return specialist Jabrill Peppers (Michigan).

College Football and NFL Hall of Famer Mike Ditka Named 2016 Walter Camp “Distinguished American”

College Football and NFL Hall of Famer Mike Ditka (University of Pittsburgh) is the 2016 Walter Camp Distinguished American award recipient. .   Ditka will be recognized at the Foundation’s 50th annual National Awards Dinner on Saturday, January 14, 2017 in New Haven, CT.
