Walter Camp Weekend – January 16 – 18, 2020

Each January, New Haven, Connecticut becomes the college football capital of the world as current All Americans, alumni, NFL players and distinguished guests gather to pay tribute to the Father of American Football.  They enjoy a weekend filled with philanthropy, recognition and celebration.

Thursday, January 16th, 2020

  • Stay in School Rally, sponsored by KeyBank
    • Over 2,000 middle school age children from area communities participate in a special program featuring Walter Camp celebrities.  The speakers anchor a high energy program providing encouragement, motivation and inspiration to the children.  SITE: Floyd Little Athletic Center, New Haven
  • Connecticut Children’s Medical Center – Hospital Visit, sponsored by Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield
    • A select number of All-Americans and Alumni make a special visit to the hospital bringing gifts, signing autographs and taking pictures with the children. The athletes take tremendous pride in being able to provide such special and joyful moments to the patients.
  • Welcome Reception & Dinner, sponsored by Innovative Health Plans II
    • This casual evening is a great time to meet and greet the many early arrivals for the weekend.  Guests include honorees, alumni, and many former NFL players.

  • All America Youth Clinicsponsored by ADP and IHeart Radio
    • Open to children ages 7-14, the 6th annual Youth Football Clinic will allow children to experience the fundamentals of football through non-contact, group activities.  Pre-registration required.   SITE: Floyd Little Athletic Center, New Haven
  • Walter Camp All-America Player Party, sponsored by BAR
    • Start the 2020 Walter Camp Weekend off the right way by partying and dancing at New Haven’s hottest nightclub, BAR! Join the Walter Camp Football Foundation for a unique opportunity to mingle with the greatest college football players that have ever played the game.

Saturday, January 18th, 2020

  • High School Breakfast of Champions, sponsored by Town Fair Tire
    • Representatives from Connecticut high school state champions and the All-Connecticut team are honored in this breakfast awards ceremony.  SITE: Omni Hotel, New Haven
  • VIP Reception
    • The VIP Reception party is attended by approximately 400 of our celebrity honorees, invited guests and sponsors.
  • Annual National Awards Dinner, sponsored David McDermott LEXUS of New Haven
    • Welcome to the premier Walter Camp Football Foundation event.  Breakout the tuxedo and the gown.  Be on-hand for a unique part of college football history, as we celebrate our 53th Year and the 130th Walter Camp All-America Team is honored along with the other award winners.
