Walter Camp Leadership Spotlight: Don Crouch

Proudest Moment: “As a Foundation we were looking to expand our exposure around the State and we created the Breakfast of Champions to honor the state football champions, Coach of the Year, Player of the Year, All-Connecticut team and a Lifetime Achievement Award honoree. It’s a great accomplishment to know we came up with an idea 10 years ago and it is going as strong as ever.”

Joining the Foundation in 1998, Don Crouch has been taken an active role in the Foundation. Don currently serves as Secretary of the Foundation and Chairman of the Membership Committee. Don served as a Board of Governor, Breakfast of Champions Chairman, Selection Chairman, Fan Fest Chairman, Host Co-Chairman, and Dinner Ticket Chairman. Don also volunteered with the Dinner committee, Stay in School Rally, Hospital Visits, Golf Tournament, Special Olympics. One of Don’s favorite moments each year is heading to the Connecticut Children’s Hospital with a group of players, mascots and our alumni. “Each year visiting the Children’s Hospital for a couple hours makes you appreciate life and knowing our Walter Camp Players and Alumni brighten the kids’ day and you leave with a big smile on your face.”

Don lives in Wallingford with his wife Simone and step-daughter Sophia and another daughter due in September.
