Zach Wilson accounted for five touchdowns (2 passing, 3 rushing) as 22nd-ranked BYU defeated Louisiana Tech, 45-14. Wilson completed 24-of-26 passes for 325 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing for 43 yards and three scores.

K.J. Costello passed for a Southeastern Conference-record 623 yards as Mississippi State defeated sixth-ranked LSU, 44-34, on the road. Costello completed 36-of-60 passes and threw for five touchdowns. His 623 passing yards were the 11th-highest total in FBS history.

McPherson’s interception ended Oklahoma’s attempted go-ahead scoring drive with 33 seconds remaining and sealed the Wildcats’ first victory of the season.

Walter Camp Football Foundation Announces 2020 PRESEASON All-America Teams, presented by Marcum LLP
The Walter Camp Football Foundation, an all-volunteer organization and caretaker of the nation’s oldest college football All-America team, has announced its 2020 Preseason All-American teams, presented by Marcum LLP, a national accounting and advisory services firm with offices in major business markets across the United States.
Fourteen players who earned Walter Camp All-American recognition in 2019 are on the 2020 preseason list. Leading the First Team offensive unit is junior running back Chuba Hubbard (Oklahoma State), who returns to the Cowboys after rushing for 2,094 yards and 21 touchdowns in 2019. Ja’Marr Chase (LSU) is a preseason All-America wide receiver after recording 84 receptions for 1,780 yards and 20 touchdowns for the national champion Tigers. On the offensive line, left tackle Penei Sewell (Oregon) is a preseason honoree after earning First Team accolades a year ago.
On defense, four players who earned Walter Camp Second Team All-America honors in 2019 are on the 2020 preseason list. Linebackers Micah Parson (Penn State) and Hamilcar Rashed (Oregon State) are joined by defensive tackle Jaylen Twyman (Pittsburgh) and defensive back Derek Stingley (LSU).
Punter Max Duffy (Kentucky), a first team All-America selection a year ago, is on the 2020 preseason list along with placekicker Keith Duncan (Iowa), who earned Second Team honors in 2019.
In all, 33 different schools from eight conferences are represented on the Preseason All-America First and Second Teams (a total of 50 players selected).
