TCU’s Gary Patterson Named Walter Camp Coach of the Year
Gary Patterson, head coach of the undefeated and Fiesta Bowl-bound TCU Horned Frogs, has been named the Walter Camp 2009 Coach of the Year.
Patterson is the first coach from the Mountain West Conference to earn the award.
Notre Dame-West Haven Named Walter Camp Kelly Award Recipient
The Green Knights (11-1) won the Connecticut State Class L title and earned the #1 ranking in all three state polls.
It is the second time that Notre Dame has earned the Kelly Award (1991). It also marks the seventh time since 1994 that a Southern Connecticut Conference school has earned the Kelly Award (Cheshire 1994 and 1995; Hand 1997, 2004; West Haven 2002; and Xavier 2005).

Texas Quarterback Colt McCoy Repeats as Walter Camp Player of the Year

University of Texas senior quarterback Colt McCoy (Tuscola, TX) has been selected as the 2009 Walter Camp Football Foundation Player of the Year. Foundation President Alphonse Paolillo, Jr. made the announcement tonight during ESPN’s 6 p.m. edition of SportsCenter.
2009 Walter Camp All-America Team Announced
Top-ranked Alabama places four players on First Team - most by any school since 2003.
University of Texas senior quarterback Colt McCoy headlines the 2009 Walter Camp Football Foundation All-America team, the 120th honored by the organization. The nation’s oldest All-America team was announced live on The Home Depot ESPNU College Football Awards Show.

This is the 120th edition of the Walter Camp All-America team – the nation’s oldest All-America team.
Twenty-five players are selected to the first team by the 120 Football Bowl Subdivision head coaches and sports information directors.
Former NFL All-Pro David Fulcher to Receive Walter Camp “Alumni Award”
Former Arizona State and Cincinnati Bengals standout to receive honor.
Fulcher joins a distinguished list of former “Alumni Award” winners, including Alan Page (Notre Dame), Archie Griffin (Ohio State), Tony Dorsett (Pittsburgh), Herschel Walker (Georgia) and last year’s recipient Tim Brown (Notre Dame).
